Job description

When you join GAR, you join something bigger. Big in scale, big in opportunities to grow, and big in impact. With over 100,000 employees across 14 countries, spanning Asia, Europe, North America, and South America, Golden Agri-Resources (GAR) is one of the largest agribusinesses in the world. We manage over half a million hectares of palm oil plantations, including smallholder farms, across Indonesia. But our size is only part of the story. Since 1997, we’ve put sustainability at the centre of how we grow, working hand-in-hand with farmers, communities, and partners to deliver food, fuel, and a better future. We’re a seed-to-shelf business rooted in palm oil, now expanding across other essential crops like sugar, soybean, sunflower, and coconut. Our people are our edge. We invest in them through global opportunities, cross-border exposure, and continuous learning, because growing a better business starts with growing our people. Here, your career feeds something meaningful for the planet, people, and generations to come.

Are you passionate about quality, sustainability, and driving continuous improvement across international markets? Join our team as Quality & Sustainability Manager Europe & Americas, where you will lead and coordinate regional quality assurance, sustainability compliance, certification management, and process standardization across Europe, Latin America, and the US. Working closely with Commercial, Operations, Suppliers, Customers, and global stakeholders, you will ensure alignment with customer requirements, evolving regulations, and sustainability standards while driving continuous improvement, regional harmonization, and supplier engagement.

You will also take on global responsibility for Quality & Sustainability within our Soft Oils business, including the implementation and oversight of non-Palm sustainability policies.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact across regions and help shape our quality and sustainability agenda.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive harmonization and alignment of Quality & Sustainability processes between Europe, LATAM, and the US to ensure operational consistency and efficiency.
  • Develop, maintain, and standardize SOPs, specifications, controls, and quality documentation processes from origin to customer delivery.
  • Support implementation of new regional processes, customer requirements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure regional readiness and compliance with sustainability and regulatory requirements including EUDR, RSPO, ISCC, GMP+, Kosher, Halal, MOSH-MOAH, and other applicable regulations across the regions.
  • Lead certification processes, external audits, internal inspections, and corrective action follow-up activities.
  • Drive the expansion and implementation of GAR’s global sustainability policies across the LATAM supply chain including the supplier onboarding process & stakeholders management.
  • Lead Quality & Sustainability policies for Palm & Non-Palm activities globally.
  • Prepare sustainability and compliance reporting to support management visibility, regulatory obligations, and customer requirements.
  • Own regulatory affairs across Europe, Latin America, and the US, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, certification requirements, and customer standards.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and coordinate the implementation of compliance requirements across the organisation.
  • Ensure negligible risk from a regulatory point of view, developing strong systems to rely on.
