A leading materials science company is seeking a Quality Engineer to manage and implement quality programs at their Tarragona plant. This temporary role offers a fresh graduate the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in quality management systems, supporting product and customer service excellence. The ideal candidate will hold a Master's degree in Engineering and be fluent in both English and Spanish.

About You And This Role

The Quality Engineer leads and executes all aspects of the plant/department quality program using existing procedures to enable the facility to profitably meet customer and product regulatory requirements related to the quality management system and related business quality strategies. Enhances front line knowledge and accountability for quality across key roles and promotes a customer-focused culture within a single plant. Requires conceptual knowledge of theories, practices, and procedures within a job discipline.

Responsibilities

  • Implements and maintains the site quality program which aligns to the Business Quality Strategy at the plant level.
  • Provides an effective interface between customers and the plant to ensure consistent high quality service to customers. Represents the “Voice of Customer” at the plant level.
  • Acts as plant interface in cross-functional relationships, services and flow of information between the plant and the customer, and functions related to the product quality/regulatory requirements related to the quality management system.
  • Monitors effectiveness of the quality management system and identifies improvement opportunities to enhance productivity of system elements.
  • Generates quality data to drive product quality improvements.
  • Leads plant and/or site-level (includes cross-functional) management of change activities related to product quality.
  • Ensures plant Operating Discipline system, procedures and guidelines meet quality system requirements, as appropriate and serves as element focal point for the quality requirements of the Operating Discipline Management System.
  • Trains and provides guidance to plant and other roles that impact product quality on customer and product regulatory requirements, and the use of supporting quality tools and processes to achieve plant and business goals.
  • Identifies and leads product quality improvement opportunities and problem-solving efforts at the plant level, as determined through data analysis, customer feedback, continual improvement projects, and other quality-related programs.
  • Manages the plant quality system audit program and conducts internal and third party audits, in conjunction with Business or Site strategies, leveraging findings to drive continual improvement

Qualifications

  • You hold a Master’s degree in Engineering
  • You have between 0 and 2 years of experience (Fresh Graduate)
  • You speak fluent English and Spanish.

  • This is a Temporary position of 1 year contract.
  • Relocation is not supported for this role
