A leading construction company in Spain seeks a hands-on Site Quality Engineer for a major industrial project. This site-based role involves supervising quality activities, conducting inspections in mechanical, piping, and welding disciplines, and ensuring compliance with management standards while leading a small team. Candidates must possess a civil or mechanical engineering background and be fluent in both English and Spanish.

Formación

• Proven site-based experience in quality management in industrial construction.
• Experience managing small teams and coordinating with contractors.
• Experience with inspection processes in mechanical, piping, and welding.

Hours : 40 hours / week (flexibility required)

Rate : Up to €400 - 450 / day

Position Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Site Quality Engineer to join our team in Spain, on a major industrial construction project. This is a site-based role with a strong focus on technical inspection capabilities in mechanical, piping, and welding disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise quality activities on-site.
• Perform hands-on inspection in mechanical, piping, and welding disciplines.
• Ensure compliance with construction quality management standards.
• Supervise on-site contractors and manage a small team.
• Collaborate with engineering and project management teams to resolve technical issues.
• Use Smart Completion software (training provided if needed).
• Ensure documentation is accurate and up to date.

Requirements

• Education / Background : Civil or Mechanical engineering background with quality construction management certifications.
• Certifications :
• Experience :

o Proven site-based experience in quality management in industrial construction.

o Previous experience managing small teams and coordinating with contractors.

o Experience with inspection processes in mechanical, piping, and welding.

• Skills :

o Fluent in English and Spanish (both written and verbal).

o Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

o Familiarity with Smart Completion (training available).

• Other :

o Must have own transport (no public transport access to site).
