Mission
This role involves performing quality control tasks on raw materials and finished fragrances, ensuring measurement and testing equipment are properly set up and functioning.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct organoleptic (odor, appearance, visual color) and physical-chemical (density, instrumental color) and chromatographic analyses on raw materials and finished products.
- Perform maintenance, calibration, and verification of instruments.
- Prepare samples and dilutions.
- Interpret results by comparing to standards and specifications to determine if products meet release criteria or require adjustments.
- Record data accurately in the SAP system.
- Maintain the laboratory environment and equipment.
Educational Background
- Degree in a scientific field such as chemistry, biology, engineering, food science, etc.
Experience Required
- Minimum of one year experience in a chemical, cosmetic, fragrance, food, or pharmaceutical laboratory.
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to work independently.
- Strong analytical skills for data analysis and decision-making.
- Organized with good prioritization skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Flexible, responsible, and committed.
Languages: Intermediate English, High proficiency in Spanish.
Key Knowledge
- Intermediate SAP skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of colorimeter and densitometer operation and interpretation.
- Understanding of Gas Chromatography.
- General laboratory procedures and solution preparation.
