Ricardo Rail is a leader in independent advice on the purchase or modernization of rolling stock vehicles. We support our customers through specifying rolling stock, supplier selection, contract formation, contract monitoring, design verification, quality assessment, warranty monitoring, and project management. Our team provides precise advice to improve purchasing and modernization processes for rolling stock vehicles. We are currently looking for a Quality Inspector.

The Role

As a quality inspector, you will assess the construction process of new rolling stock vehicles and their equipment. You should have sound knowledge of relevant production processes such as welding, gluing, preservation, and assembly. The ability to visually distinguish between qualitative and non-qualitative products is essential. You will also collaborate with the internal quality department of suppliers to identify causes of quality issues.

You will independently carry out projects and inspections, consulting with colleagues and clients as needed. You should be confident working at supplier sites independently and capable of thorough reporting. Willingness to work abroad at various suppliers is required.

Key Competencies and Experience

  • Technical education or equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar;
  • Experience with train production is advantageous;
  • Experience with small-scale manual series production, such as machine construction;
  • At least 3 to 5 years of experience in quality assurance is preferred;
  • Proactive personality focused on creating new opportunities and projects;
  • Willingness to participate in international projects;
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build a customer network;
  • Independent, results-oriented, and customer-focused working approach;
  • Fluent in Spanish and proficient in English (spoken and written); German is a plus.
