To continue our growth, we are expanding our team and are looking for a QA Automation Engineer to join us in Stockholm, Budapest, Madrid, London, or India. (Yes, we have offices in over 15 countries!)
What you will do :
- Design, develop, execute, and maintain test scripts for Big Screen devices, STBs, mobile, or web, utilizing coding skills and automation tools/frameworks.
- Ensure comprehensive test coverage meeting system and software requirements.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure software quality for solutions deployed worldwide.
- Perform testing ranging from UI validation to low-level media streaming and broadcast technology validation.
- Conduct functional and regression testing for new features, updates, and third-party changes.
- Address bugs and defects identified during development.
- Deploy artifacts across various environments like development, QA, and UAT.
- Engage with cross-functional Scrum teams, including product owners, designers, and developers, to ensure quality standards are met.
- Communicate proactively with stakeholders.
- Estimate tasks accurately.
- Assist in reproducing hard-to-reproduce issues, document bugs clearly, and track production issues to improve test coverage.
- Maintain manual and automated test artifacts.
- Collaborate to improve testing coverage and efficiency within Scrum teams.
What we are looking for
- Mandatory programming knowledge: Java.
- Experience with Selenium or Appium automation tools.
- Basic experience with integrating open source or third-party APIs and libraries.
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Understanding of software development methodologies like Agile/Scrum, Waterfall, and practices like Continuous Delivery and TDD.
- Knowledge of platform-specific languages, frameworks, and tools.
- Fundamental understanding of data structures and algorithms.
- Ability to work independently with guidance from senior team members.
- Strong problem-solving skills and passion for technical challenges.
- Eagerness to learn new technologies relevant to the business.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong analytical thinking skills.
