Quality Analyst - Global Markets & Regulations

SBGM is looking for a Quality Analyst for Global Markets & Regulations, based in our HQ Boadilla office.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

As Quality Analyst, you will be working with Global Markets & Regulatory processes and controls implemented in the first line of defense of SCIB.

The team is based in HQ in Boadilla, Madrid, and supports Process Engineering (P.E.) in the Pre- and Post-Trade Services (PPTS) area. Your responsibilities will include reviewing current processes, evaluating potential incidents and identifying their root causes, as well as proposing improvement actions to prevent them.

We need someone like you to help us on different fronts:

  • Evaluate the integrity of the processes and the quality of the data used during their execution.

  • Conduct an independent evaluation of the controls in place.

  • Propose improvements to achieve operational excellence.

  • Assist P.E. with incident analysis, action plan assignment and follow-up, and promote a culture of transparency and escalation.

  • Seek continuous improvement on an ongoing basis.

  • Actively participate in the digitization of processes and controls.

EXPERIENCE

  • Experience of 2-3 years in auditing, consulting, first line of defense, compliance or activities related to the financial markets.

EDUCATION

  • Higher degree/engineering: A degree or equivalent level of study in Business Administration and/or technical subjects such as engineering, mathematics and statistics.

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

  • Certifications, master's/postgraduate degrees and specialization courses in Global Markets and Regulations

  • Data Analysis, advanced knowledge of analytics tools for interpreting large volumes of data and making informed decisions (as SQL, PowerBi or Power Automate).

  • Knowledge of programming languages (Python).

  • A high level of English is essential.

  • Effective communication skills.

  • While travel is generally not required, occasional brief trips to a group unit may be necessary.
