Job summary

Hempel in Spain seeks an Associate HSE Specialist to support the Occupational Risk Prevention Service, covering safety, hygiene, psychosocial and ergonomics, ensuring compliance with legislation and Hempel standards.

You will lead training, inspections, audits and incident investigations, maintaining documentation and generating HSE reports. Fluent Spanish, Catalan and English are required, with a relevant university degree.

Qualifications

• University degree in Chemistry, Environmental or technical fields, or an HSE management degree.
• HSE training as required by local legislation.
• Experience in SPP/SPA and shop floor in chemical industry desirable.
• Spanish, Catalan and English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and implement HSE processes in line with legislation and Hempel standards.
• Identify unsafe conditions and promote safety awareness and behaviors.
• Conduct employee training according to the training plan.
• Lead safety inspections and assist audits and regulatory reviews.
• Investigate, analyse and document accidents, incidents and observations to implement preventive and corrective actions.
• Maintain proper documentation and generate HSE activity reports.

(Technical Outstanding Health and Safety at Work with at least 2 specialties.Experience working in a SPP or SPA.
