QA Specialist — On-Site Quality & Food Safety Leader

Huijbregts Iberica, a family-owned Dutch company, seeks a QA Specialist for our Massanes factory to maintain and improve quality assurance and food safety systems on site. You will report locally to the Plant Manager and work closely with HQ QA.

You will collaborate with Production, Supply Chain, Purchasing and Maintenance, lead internal audits, support external certifications, and train staff to strengthen the site’s quality culture and ensure compliance with customer standards.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in Quality Assurance in food manufacturing.
• Solid understanding of food safety systems (HACCP, ISO/FSSC 22000, BRC).
• Degree in Food Technology, Food Engineering, Biology, Biochemistry, or related field.
• Ability to work independently and with HQ QA team.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written).

Responsabilités

• Implement and monitor HACCP, FSSC 22000, and other QA systems at Massanes.
• Collaborate with Production, Supply Chain, Purchasing, and Maintenance.
• Work with QC team for product quality decisions.
• Plan and perform internal audits and hygiene inspections.
• Coordinate external certifications and customer audits (FSSC 22000, Halal, Kosher, Organic).
• Maintain QA documentation (procedures, work instructions, records).
• Analyze quality data and report trends to HQ.
• Serve as main contact for suppliers and customers on quality topics.
• Provide training on hygiene, quality and food safety.
