An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality Assurance Manager to join a leading supply chain solutions provider in Greater Barcelona. This multifaceted role is perfect for someone who thrives on blending hands-on testing with strategic leadership and people development.

The position offers a unique blend of individual contribution, ART-level strategy, and people management, all within a supportive and collaborative environment. With a hybrid working model and a modern office in Barcelona, this is your chance to shape quality assurance practices at scale while nurturing both your technical and leadership skills.

  • Play a pivotal role in shaping and executing quality assurance strategies across multiple teams within an Agile Release Train environment, ensuring high standards are met from concept through to release.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a growing QA team in Barcelona, fostering professional growth, knowledge sharing, and a strong sense of community within the organisation.
  • Enjoy flexible hybrid working arrangements, access to professional development opportunities, and the chance to make a significant impact on flagship safety and energy features.
What you'll do:

In this position you will be instrumental in elevating quality standards across both individual project teams and broader Agile Release Trains. Your day-to-day will involve hands-on testing of critical safety analytics features while simultaneously setting strategic direction for ART-wide quality initiatives.

  • Act as the dedicated Quality Assurance engineer within the Safety Analytics team, designing, automating, and executing comprehensive tests for flagship safety and energy features.
  • Ensure product reliability by conducting exploratory, regression, performance, and security testing in close collaboration with developers and product owners.
  • Own defect management processes including documentation and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance your team’s QA practices.
  • Define and evolve ART-wide quality assurance strategies in partnership with System Architects, establishing robust standards, practices, and tooling across distributed teams.
  • Drive test automation efforts and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines to increase delivery speed while maintaining high reliability.
  • Partner with Product Managers, Architects, and Developers to embed quality considerations throughout the entire software development lifecycle.
  • Continuously improve processes related to defect prevention, traceability, compliance, and overall efficiency within the ART framework.
  • Serve as people manager for the local QA team in Barcelona by providing career development support, coaching, mentoring, and facilitating growth paths for junior and mid-level QAs.
  • Lead recruitment activities as well as onboarding and training of new QA engineers to ensure seamless integration into the team.
  • Foster a vibrant QA Community of Practice that promotes consistency in methods, tools, standards, and encourages knowledge sharing across teams.
What you bring:

To excel as a Quality Assurance Manager in this environment you will bring substantial experience from senior software QA positions where you have successfully balanced hands-on technical work with strategic oversight.

A relevant academic background combined with industry-recognised certifications will further strengthen your profile.
