Job summary

LeoVegas Group in Spain is seeking a QA Engineer to join the Sportsbook Domain. You will design, execute and maintain tests for backend and frontend components, collaborating with Java and TypeScript engineers in an Agile environment to deliver quality betting experiences.

You'll drive automation opportunities, contribute to API and UI tests, and ensure robust test coverage while communicating risks clearly to the team.

Qualifications

• Experience with backend test automation using Java.
• Practical experience with automated API testing.
• Familiarity with REST APIs and basic understanding of microservices architecture.
• Proficiency with test management tools (e.g. TestRail or similar).
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum and modern software development practices.

Responsibilities

• Identifying opportunities for automation across the sports betting flow and contributing to their implementation.
• Supporting the design and maintenance of automated tests (service, API, UI).

About The Role

Are you a QA Engineer looking to make an impact in a fast-paced, dynamic environment? Join our Sportsbook Domain and become part of the Sports Betting team at LeoVegas Group, where you’ll help shape and enhance our product capabilities. Your work will contribute to delivering a secure, seamless, and engaging experience for customers across all our brands.

In this role, you will support the development of our Sportsbook platform by designing effective tests and defining clear testing scopes aligned with business needs. Working in an Agile environment, you will collaborate closely with skilled Java and TypeScript engineers, along with other QA specialists, to deliver high-quality solutions for a reliable and engaging betting experience.

YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

• Designing, executing, and maintaining test cases for backend and frontend components

OUR SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING

Essential Skills

• Experience with backend test automation using Java
• Practical experience with automated API testing
• Familiarity with REST APIs and basic understanding of microservices architecture
• Proficiency with test management tools (e.g. TestRail or similar)
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum and modern software development practices

NICE TO HAVES

• Experience with frontend testing including UI automation using Typescript (Playwright)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Basic knowledge of event-driven systems (e.g. Kafka)
• Experience with performance testing
• ISTQB certification
• Interest in or experience with the iGaming domain
