Job summary

HCLTech is seeking a QA Engineer specialized in Manufacturing Controlling (CO/PC) to ensure data integrity in costing, accounting, and production processes. You will design and run rigorous tests for product costing, cost centre accounting, production orders, and period-end close.

Responsibilities include validating cost roll-ups and settlement flows, developing reconciliation-focused tests, and collaborating with Finance, Manufacturing, and IT.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong experience with SAP CO/PC modules, including integration with Finance and Production.
• Proven expertise in designing and executing test scenarios for manufacturing controlling processes.
• Deep understanding of material ledgers, cost roll-ups, settlement flows, WIP, and variance analysis.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, especially in high-value manufacturing environments.
• Familiarity with reconciliation processes and financial data validation.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.

Overview of the Role

Detailed Responsibilities

• Own the design and execution of test cases for product costing, cost centre accounting, production order accounting, WIP (Work in Progress), variance settlement, and period-end close within manufacturing systems.
• Validate accuracy of cost roll-ups, material ledger entries, and settlement flows, with a focus on high-value materials and components.
• Develop and implement reconciliation-focused test scenarios that meet the stringent requirements of Finance and Operations teams.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Finance, Manufacturing, and IT to ensure seamless integration and data consistency.
• Analyze and document test results, identify discrepancies, and work with development teams to resolve issues.
• Maintain and enhance QA processes, methodologies, and best practices for SAP CO/PC and Finance/Production integration.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the quality assurance framework.

Skill Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong experience with SAP CO/PC modules, including integration with Finance and Production.
• Proven expertise in designing and executing test scenarios for manufacturing controlling processes.
• Deep understanding of material ledgers, cost roll-ups, settlement flows, WIP, and variance analysis.

Other Requirements (Optional)
