CARTO is seeking a Software Engineer in Test to join our Engineering team. The role focuses on end-to-end quality of our location intelligence platform, leveraging AI to generate and repair automated tests.

You will work with developers and product managers to ensure robust test coverage and prevent regressions, while expanding automation across data warehouses and GIS workflows. The team values autonomy, curiosity, and strong English communication as we deliver reliable, scalable testing

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field; GIS background nice to have.
• At least 3 years in QA or test automation on a real product.
• Experience with AI-driven test tooling and agentic test generation.

Responsabilidades

• Build AI tooling that turns requirements into test plans and executable test cases.
• Use AI agents to write, extend and repair automated tests.
• Automate executions and maintain stable, fast test suites across changes.
• Collaborate with Dev and Product to ensure test coverage and prevent regressions.
• Convert manual tests to automated ones and manage test data sources.
• Perform exploratory manual testing of new features and data workflows.
