Ubique Systems is seeking an experienced Automation Test Engineer to own Quality Engineering across data and platform engineering. You will design scalable automation frameworks, validate data, and prevent issues reaching production.

You’ll work hands-on with Python, SQL, data testing, and cloud technologies in a hybrid setup in Madrid/Barcelona. You’ll build data/test automation for batch and streaming pipelines, APIs and back-end services, and embed quality gates into CI/CD and DataOps

Formación

• Experience building automation/test frameworks and CLI tools.
• Strong SQL and data validation capabilities.
• Experience with data pipelines, ETL/ELT and data quality tools.
• Hands-on, not test management.
• Experience with AI-assisted tooling is mandatory.

Responsabilidades

• Design and evolve scalable, metadata-driven test automation frameworks.
• Build automation for batch and streaming data pipelines, APIs and backend services.
• SQL assertions and reconciliation.
• Schema validation and evolution.
• Lineage and freshness.
• YAML/JSON-based test configurations.
• Proactively test failure scenarios including schema drift and late-arriving data.
• Integrate quality gates into CI/CD and DataOps pipelines.
• Work with GitHub Actions, Jenkins or equivalent.
