Job Description

TravelBank is seeking a QA Engineer with experience in both manual and automated testing within an agile environment. This role is responsible for ensuring the quality of our web and mobile applications.

At TravelBank, you will work in the travel and fintech industries, serving some of the world's fastest-growing companies. As part of the development team, you will influence our engineering culture and have an immediate impact on the product delivered to our customers.

The Automation Engineer tests, creates, implements, and supports robotic process and desktop automations. Responsibilities include designing, scripting, testing, implementing, maintaining, and modifying automations of moderate complexity, significance, and risk. You will create comprehensive test plans and cases, define automation data needs, and execute performance tests. The role involves investigating and resolving technical issues, documenting automation capabilities, estimating project timelines, and analyzing organizational needs for automation solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with product owners, designers, and engineers to plan and refine upcoming work
  • Design, implement, execute, and maintain manual and automated tests for web and mobile applications
  • Perform code reviews of automated tests
  • Identify and document bugs
  • Champion quality releases in short iterative cycles
  • Assist in various testing types including functional, regression, smoke, exploratory, and acceptance
  • Participate in discussions to improve testing practices, tools, and processes
Desired Competencies
  • Understanding of feature purpose and customer impact
  • Ability to communicate complex problems clearly
  • Motivated to work collaboratively and deliver high-quality products
  • Experience with automation tools like Selenium, Appium, Cypress, or similar
  • Solid understanding of git or other source control systems
  • Experience with CI/CD environments
  • Experience in agile/scrum environments
  • At least 2 years testing web, iOS, Android applications, REST APIs, and writing automated tests
Preferred Skills / Experience
  • Knowledge of data and process modeling, testing, SDLC, application design, programming, and automation suites
  • Understanding of release management, product/vendor evaluation
  • Proficiency in Java, VBA, or scripting technologies
  • Strong problem-solving, project management, and collaboration skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

This position offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, with in-office expectations of 3+ days per week and the flexibility to work remotely on other days.
