Job Description

TravelBank is in search of a QA Engineer with experience in both manual and automated testing in an agile environment. This position will be responsible for ensuring the quality of the final product for both our web and mobile applications.

At TravelBank, you will have the opportunity to work in the travel and fintech industries serving some of the fastest growing companies in the world. As a member of the development team, you will be a driving force in our engineering culture and have an immediate impact on the product we deliver to our customers.

The Automation Engineer tests, creates, implements, and supports robotics process and desktop automations. They perform design, scripting, testing, implementation, maintenance, and modification of automations of moderate complexity, significance, and risk. They create comprehensive test plans and test cases, define automation data needs across systems, and create plans to coordinate test data. They also create and execute performance tests to ensure automation performance levels are achieved. The role involves investigating, analyzing, and resolving technical problems with clients and technical staff, writing documentation, estimating project timelines and costs, and analyzing organizational needs for automation solutions.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product owners, designers, and engineers to plan and refine upcoming work
• Design, implement, execute, and maintain manual and automated tests for web and mobile applications
• Perform code reviews of automated tests
• Identify and document bugs
• Champion the delivery of quality releases in short iterative cycles
• Assist in various testing types, including functional, regression, smoke, exploratory, and acceptance testing
• Participate in discussions to improve testing practices, tools, and processes

Desired Competencies

• Understanding of feature purpose and impact on customer workflow
• Ability to communicate complex problems clearly
• Motivated to work collaboratively to deliver high-quality products
• Experience with Selenium, Appium, Cypress, or similar automation tools
• Experience with JavaScript, Kotlin, Swift, Java, or similar programming languages
• Solid understanding of git or other source control systems
• Experience working in CI/CD and Agile/Scrum environments
• At least 2 years of experience testing web, iOS, Android applications and REST APIs
• At least 2 years of experience writing automated tests

Preferred Skills/Experience

• Knowledge of data and process modeling, testing, SDLC, application design, and robotics suites
• Understanding of release management and vendor evaluation
• Knowledge of Java VBA or scripting technologies
• Problem-solving, project management, and teamwork skills
• Strong analytical, technical, and programming skills
• Ability to build relationships, influence others, and produce results
• Effective communication skills

The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, with an expectation of in-office presence of 3 or more days per week and flexibility for remote work on other days.
