AgileEngine is seeking a Python Backend Developer to extend the backend of an internal developer portal and dashboard, using AI coding tools daily. The role emphasizes strong Python expertise, database integration, RESTful design, and CI/CD familiarity.

You will work in a flexibly scheduled environment with both remote and on-site options, contributing across Linux-based systems and modern databases. This is a hands-on backend position with impact across Fortune 500-scale projects.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of Python backend development with FastAPI/Django/Flask.
• Experience using AI coding assistants in daily workflows.
• Proficient Git and CI/CD with PRs and pipelines.
• Linux/Unix user-level proficiency; no sysadmin duties.
• Experience with Snowflake, PostgreSQL/MySQL, MongoDB.
• RESTful API design and integration.

Responsibilities

• Continue development of the internal developer portal and dashboard.
• Build a robust Python backend to support core features.
• Leverage AI coding tools to streamline implementation and testing.
• Integrate with Snowflake, SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Manage Git workflows and CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements.
• Ensure code quality via unit tests and reviews.
