Main Responsibilities
Working alongside with main Trina Solar ISBU engineering team you will provide technical inputs at all stages of the project lifecycle. This will include:
- Initial layouts for evaluation of the maximum possible installed DC and AC capacity based on the project’s specifics
- Yield assessment studies for projects under development and projects under acquisition
- Evaluation and reviewing designs and technical solutions prepared by 3rd parties or from the initial developer of the project
- Reviewing of Technical Due Diligent report from 3rd party advisors
- Optimization of PV design and Yield assessment based on the project specifics
- Supporting other departments within Trina with feasibility studies cost modeling and designs
- Technical support for the permitting process during the various development phases of the projects
- Conducting your own analyses to guide technical solutions on Trina’s projects from early greenfield projects all the way through to operations (Site visit, initial design, permitting, detailed design review).
- You will be expected to work autonomously under the supervision and guiding of Trina senior engineering team and supported by the wider Trina ISBU engineering team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical inputs to projects under review or development by Trina under guidance of Trina ISBU Senior Engineering team.
- Prepare engineering drawings, yield assessments and conceptual designs for solar PV and BESS projects.
- Review designs and documents prepared by 3rd parties.
- Conduct market research to keep abreast of emerging technologies and trends in solar PV and BESS.
- Conduct technical due diligence of solar PV projects at all stages of development.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry policies, standards, regulations and best practices.
Requirements
- University Degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical).
- 3 to 5 years of engineering experience in renewables sector or more than 5 years of experience in electrical or mechanical engineering fields.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant engineering softwares as AutoCAD, PVsyst, SolarGIS, Meteonorm, PVCase, Pvdesign etc. Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D will be considered as a plus.
- Ability to read, interpret and prepare engineering drawings and studies. Primarily plant layouts, energy yield assessments and single line diagrams.
- Awareness of all disciplines necessary to successfully elaborate a solar PV or BESS project.
- Understanding of primary technical considerations in solar PV and BESS development, design and construction, including awareness of industry best practice and relevant standards and codes of practice.
- Experience during tendering and construction phases considered a plus.
- Experience in BESS, wind and other renewable energy systems considered a plus.
- Experience / knowledge of grid connection processes and electrical engineering studies considered a plus.
- Fluent English. Other languages will be considered a plus.
