INTEC Energy Solutions is seeking a highly motivated PV / BESS Project Manager to lead utility-scale solar PV and battery energy storage EPC projects from Madrid to international sites.

You will drive end-to-end project delivery, manage cross-functional teams across continents, ensure safety, quality, schedule and budget, and report to senior management on progress and risks. Fluent English is required and willingness to travel extensively to New Zealand and Australia.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline is required.
• Minimum 7 years of PM experience in EPC construction projects.
• Proven experience delivering utility-scale solar PV; BESS is highly desirable.
• Strong EPC project execution, construction methods and commercial PM skills.
• Experience leading large, multidisciplinary teams and international stakeholders.
• Knowledge of EPC/subcontract contract management and client-facing agreements.
• Fluent English in both written and spoken forms; PMP is desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare progress reports and updates for clients and senior management.
• Be the primary client interface during construction and commissioning.
• Lead QA, customer inspections, audits and compliance processes.
• Drive cost optimization and resolve commercial/operational issues.
• Manage project close-out, final docs, commissioning and handover.
• Capture lessons learned for continuous improvement.

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced PV / BESS Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of utility-scale Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects based in Australia & New Zealand. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full EPC project lifecycle, from project initiation through engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and project close-out. This role requires strong leadership, commercial awareness, and extensive experience delivering large-scale renewable energy projects while ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, schedule, and budget performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end execution of utility-scale solar PV and BESS EPC projects in New Zealand, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
• Coordinate project activities between the Madrid office and New Zealand project sites.
• Manage construction activities through site teams, Construction Managers, and subcontractors.
• Develop and monitor project schedules, budgets, resources, risks, and contractual obligations.
• Coordinate closely with engineering, procurement, HSEQ, commercial, and commissioning teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Review EPC contracts and technical documentation to ensure compliance with contractual, regulatory, and client requirements.
• Oversee subcontractor performance, validate progress reports, and approve payment milestones.
• Ensure effective site logistics, including temporary facilities, utilities, communications, and operational readiness.
• Prepare regular progress reports and provide accurate project updates to clients and senior management.
• Act as the primary client interface throughout the construction and commissioning phases.
• Lead quality assurance activities, customer inspections, audits, and compliance processes.
• Drive cost optimization initiatives and proactively resolve commercial and operational issues.
• Manage project close-out, final documentation, commissioning, testing, and handover to the Operations & Maintenance team.
• Capture lessons learned and contribute to continuous improvement across the global project organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of project management experience in EPC construction projects.
• Proven experience delivering utility-scale solar PV projects; BESS experience is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of EPC project execution, construction methodologies, and commercial project management.
• Experience managing large multidisciplinary teams, subcontractors, and international stakeholders.
• Knowledge of contract management, including EPC, subcontract, and client-facing agreements.
• Proficiency in project scheduling and project management tools (Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent).
• Strong understanding of construction quality standards, HSEQ requirements, and project controls.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work in a dynamic international environment and manage geographically dispersed teams.
• PMP or equivalent project management certification is highly desirable.
• Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Willingness to travel extensively and undertake long-term project assignments in New Zealand.
