Introduction To The Vacant Position

The purchasing department is integrated into the Finance Unit of IBEC and aims to handle all items (goods and services) needed in the IBEC under the Public Sector Contract Law (LCSP 9 / 2017).

Main Tasks And Responsibilities

The Purchasing Technician is responsible for managing purchases, following procurement processes, contacting providers for order updates, expediting deliveries, selecting the best options based on quality, service, and price, guaranteeing service levels, and assisting in budget preparation.

Functions And Responsibilities
  • Manage purchases related to all research groups.
  • Track and monitor purchase orders to ensure timely delivery.
  • Handle customs clearance for products, ensuring compliance with regulations and documentation.
  • Register incoming invoices.
  • Analyze purchase data exported from ERP systems.
Candidate Requirements
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Higher Vocational Training in Administration and Management – Advanced Level in Administration and Finance.
  • Previous experience in purchasing activities.
  • Experience with SAP (Business One) or similar ERP systems.
  • High/Intermediate proficiency in English and Spanish; basic Catalan.
  • Skills: communication, planning, organization, teamwork, analytical skills, proactivity, flexibility, adaptability.
Advantages

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing software.
