Main responsibilities :

  • Develop, lead, and execute purchasing strategies for power conversion equipment components
  • Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
  • Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms
  • Partner with stakeholders to ensure clear requirements documentation
  • Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power
  • Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking
  • Assess, manage, and mitigate risks
  • Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers
  • Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand

Requirements :

  • Master’s degree in electrical engineering (or similar), supply chain management or a related field
  • Excellent English language skills and Spanish is a strong plus, other languages are a plus
  • 10+ years experience in purchasing in this area
  • Proven working experience as a Purchasing Manager in the high power conversion / high power electrical equipment manufacturing industries
  • Interest in market dynamics along with a business sense
  • A knack for negotiation and networking
  • Ability to gather and analyze data and work with figures
  • Solid judgement along with decision making skills
  • Available to travel 10%-30% of working time
