ICIQ is seeking a Technician to join the Mechanical Workshop, delivering design, prototyping and assembly of experimental setups for its Scientific Core Facilities. You will work with Solid Works, additive fabrication and a range of workshop tools to create and repair devices used by research groups.

The role offers a permanent full-time contract in a dynamic, international research environment with opportunities for hands-on technical development and collaboration across disciplines.

Formación

• Technical education or vocational training in mechanical manufacturing, machining, mechatronics, industrial design or a related technical field.
• Knowledge of Solid Works.
• Knowledge of 3D printing and additive manufacturing technologies (SLS, FDM and resin).
• Knowledge and practical experience using workshop tools and accessories.
• A proactive, creative and curious approach to technical challenges.
• Technical problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret technical requirements and translate them into practical mechanical solutions.
• Good English level.

Responsabilidades

• Designing mechanical components, prototypes and setups using Solid Works software.
• Fabricate new pieces using both techniques: additive fabrication & mechanization.
• Design and assembly of experimental setups.
• Small laboratory equipment repairs, modifications and improvements.
• Organization of the workshop: inventory, cleanliness & tidiness, purchase orders, etc.
• Operating and supporting different 3D printing technologies, including FDM, SLS and resin-based printing.
