Formación

  • 3+ years in Project Finance or M&A, with strong Excel and analytical skills.

Project & Structured Finance Manager EMEA (Solar & BESS)

Leap29 have a fantastic opportunity available, to be based in Madrid as Project & Structured Finance Manager to oversee Solar & BESS across the EMEA Region.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop financial models for tenders, project acquisitions, PPA negotiations, financing, and sales purposes.
  • Coordinate due diligence processes for acquisitions, financing, and sales.
  • Prepare market reports, investment memorandums, project teasers, and other required documents and presentations.
  • Design, adapt, and maintain detailed financial models for projects related to acquisitions, financings, PPA and EPC bids, and M&A activities. Manage models developed internally or sourced from third parties.
  • Create investment memorandums and briefs for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist in the origination, negotiation, and closing of project and corporate finance transactions, collaborating with banks, financial partners, and advisors.
  • Identify and evaluate key investment drivers, perform sensitivity analyses, and provide analytical assessments to structure deals efficiently.
  • Understand and assess the tax and regulatory implications of business opportunities in the region.
  • Collaborate with partners and stakeholders to evaluate key markets and identify new business opportunities from a financial and business perspective.
  • Work closely with Sales, Business Development, Engineering, Legal, and other departments to ensure projects progress smoothly and efficiently from a project finance perspective.
  • Conduct general research and statistical analysis.
  • Support the management of project insurance programs in the region.
  • Collaborate with the structured Finance Team to meet various project demands.
  • Proficient in financial modeling with advanced Excel skills, including experience with macros and Visual Basic.
  • Strong analytical skills and understanding of financial and mathematical modeling techniques for project finance and asset valuation.
  • At least three years of experience in Project Finance or M&A.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and fluently.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Capable of synthesizing and organizing large amounts of data and managing multiple transactions simultaneously.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • International experience is highly valuable.
  • Hardworking, flexible, ambitious, and collaborative.

Education & Training:

  • Master’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
  • At least two years of experience with a Big Four firm or an investment fund is a plus.
  • An MBA or other relevant master’s qualification is highly desirable.
  • Spanish and English language capability.
