Job Title: Project Safety Assurance Manager
Duration: Permanent
Location: Madrid
Purpose of the Job: Manage, perform and ensure the activities related to safety assurance are applied in the projects. Coordinates safety studies throughout the project lifecycle to ensure safety requirements are met and compliance with CENELEC Standards.
Knowledge of Safety Methods: Safety Plan, Preliminary Hazard Analysis (PHA), Failure Modes and Effects Critical Analysis (FMECA), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), Interface Hazard Analysis (IHA), Operation & Support Hazard Analysis (OSHA), Safety related Item List (SRIL), Hazard Log (HL), V&V Safety Report, Safety Case.

Educational Requirements: Engineering degree. Fluent in Spanish. Operational knowledge of English for technical documentation.
Knowledge / Experience: Minimum 4 years in Safety Assurance for connected railway signalling projects. Experience with Spanish IXL projects with ADIF. Experience working in multi-site, multi-cultural environments.
Behavioral Skills / Competencies: Structured, organized, team player, proactive, anticipative, resilient, capable of training others, able to lead activities.
Technical Skills & Competencies: Dependability study techniques (PHA, SHA, FMECA, IHA, FTA), experience with European/International Standards (CENELEC 50126, 50128, 50129), proven safety case delivery, experience with ISAs, knowledge in IXL Safety, ETCS safety, and CBTC systems is desired.
