Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies tailored to project needs.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and negotiate favorable terms with suppliers while maintaining quality standards.
- Align procurement plans with project schedules, budgets, and objectives.
- Evaluate and prequalify suppliers and subcontractors based on project requirements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers for reliability and collaboration.
- Monitor supplier performance, including quality, delivery, and contractual compliance.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, purchase orders, and agreements.
- Ensure compliance with contractual, legal, and company policies.
- Manage contract changes, claims, and disputes collaboratively with legal and project teams.
- Oversee procurement processes, including RFQs, bid evaluations, and contract awards.
- Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials, equipment, and services.
- Track procurement progress and address delays proactively.
- Manage procurement budgets and ensure cost control throughout projects.
- Analyze market trends and pricing to maintain competitive practices.
- Report regularly on procurement costs, savings, and financial performance.
- Identify and mitigate procurement risks, including supply chain disruptions and price fluctuations.
- Develop contingency plans to ensure project continuity.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with policies, standards, and regulations.
- Maintain organized records of procurement activities and supplier performance.
- Conduct audits and reviews to promote transparency and accountability.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field; master's degree or certifications (CPM, CPSM, PMP) are a plus.
- Experience: 5-8 years in procurement, supply chain, or project management, preferably in construction, engineering, energy, or manufacturing sectors. Proven experience managing procurement for large projects.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contract management, ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Ariba), and project management tools.
- Soft Skills: Excellent negotiation, communication, interpersonal skills, analytical and problem-solving abilities, leadership, and ability to work under pressure.
- Languages: Proficiency in English required; additional languages are advantageous.
