The Opportunity

As part of our Grid Integration business, we are looking for an experienced and people-oriented Project Operations Manager to lead the execution of complex energy infrastructure projects in our Operating Unit of Spain. This role is critical to ensure operational excellence, customer satisfaction and the development of high-performing teams in a multicultural and dynamic environment.

You will report to the Operating Unit Manager of Spain directly and to the Europe Regional Operations Manager functionally and will have the chance to collaborate with various stakeholders across countries and business units. Your leadership will directly impact the success of projects in France, Morocco, Portugal and Spain—especially in complex and strategic initiatives.

How You’ll Make an Impact
  • Lead local project execution activities, ensuring delivery meets quality, safety, financial, and timeline targets.
  • Manage the Project Management, Site Management and Scheduling & Planning Teams directly.
  • Improve project execution strategies in line with business goals and drive continuous improvement.
  • Oversee a consistent approach to managing the local project portfolio using best practices and company policies.
  • Supervise project teams, ensuring processes and instructions are followed and improved based on lessons learned.
  • Support budgeting and planning, identifying and addressing gaps in project execution capacity.
  • Monitor project performance, resolve escalated issues and ensure proper project closure.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, acting as a key escalation point.
  • Develop and lead project teams, ensuring the right structure, skills and growth opportunities are in place.
Your Background
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field with a strong focus on energy systems or power grids.
  • Solid experience in project or operations management within the energy transmission and distribution sector.
  • Proven team leadership experience is highly valued, especially in developing talent and managing multicultural teams.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish (spoken and written), with the ability to operate effectively across multiple countries. French is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of the complexities of electrical infrastructure projects, including technical, logistical, and stakeholder-related challenges.
  • Experience working in matrixed organizations, with the ability to manage multiple requests and report functionally to different stakeholders.
