Grupo Oesía seeks a Project Manager – Space (ESA & SATCOM) to lead strategic initiatives across Europe and secure delivery within scope, time, and budget. This role involves coordinating multidisciplinary teams and serving as the main interface with ESA stakeholders to ensure contractual alignment.

The successful candidate will manage complex SATCOM projects under ECSS standards, plan schedules, and drive risk mitigation in a dynamic, multinational environment in Madrid.

Formación

• Engineering degree in aerospace/telecom/industrial or similar.
• Proven experience coordinating space/tech projects.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams, planning, risks and budget.
• Hands-on ESA project experience.
• Knowledge of SATCOM environments.
• Proficiency with planning tools such as MS Project and Jira.

Responsabilidades

• Lead end-to-end management of space projects within scope, schedule, and budget.
• Act as main interface with ESA stakeholders and ensure alignment.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across systems, software, hardware and AIT.
• Plan and monitor schedules, resources, and milestones including ESA reviews.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate technical, financial, and schedule risks.
• Manage project budget and supplier/subcontractor relations.

At Inster, we are looking for a Project Manager to lead strategic initiatives within Europe’s most ambitious programs in secure satellite communications. This is a key leadership role with real impact on advanced space and defence projects, offering the opportunity to relocate to Madrid, one of Europe’s most dynamic and liveable capitals..

What are we looking for?

• An/a Project Manager – Space (ESA & SATCOM) - Relocation Spain, with at least 5years of experience.
• Availability to join a stable project in Madrid.
  

Requirements:

• Degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Telecommunications, Industrial or similar)
• Proven experience in managing and coordinating technological or space projects.
• Strong experience managing multidisciplinary teams, planning, risks, and budget.
• Hands-on experience managing projects with ESA (European Space Agency), including direct interaction with the agency and understanding of its processes.

Technical Skills

• Solid understanding of the space project lifecycle (Phases 0/A/B/C/D/E).
• Experience working under ECSS standards.
• Knowledge of SATCOM environments (highly relevant for IRIS2).
• Proficiency with planning tools (MS Project, Jira or similar).

What will your responsibilities be?

• Lead the end-to-end management of technological and space projects, ensuring delivery on scope, schedule, and budget.
• Act as the main interface with ESA stakeholders, ensuring proper technical and contractual alignment.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams (systems, software, hardware, AIT, telecommunications), ensuring successful integration of complex SATCOM solutions.
• Plan and monitor project schedules, resources, and key milestones, including ESA reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, QR, AR).
• Identify, assess, and mitigate technical, financial, and schedule risks.
• Manage and control the project budget, ensuring efficient use of resources.
• Ensure compliance with ECSS standards, quality processes, and configuration management.
• Manage suppliers and subcontractors within the project ecosystem.
