Your mission

Our Identity Platform sits within the TradeHub solution at Bitpanda, our mission is to safeguard user information and ensure compliance with all regulations governing the protection of personal data, including GDPR. We specialise in providing cutting-edge identity, authentication, and authorization solutions, meticulously designed to uphold industry security standards while empowering our users with seamless and secure access experiences. As a Software Engineer, you will be helping us to pave the way for secure and seamless access experiences to our more than 4 million users. This team provides crucial services for all internal teams and therefore your experience in building stable and scalable solutions is a key element.

What You'll Do

1. Design and develop scalable, resilient, message-driven services using Java as a programming language
2. Write clean and correct code with high test coverage and extensive testing
3. Contribute to conversational development, disseminating information to the rest of the team
4. Optimise systems to ensure reliability, performance, scalability and maintainability
5. Guide and mentor other team members

Who You Are

1. Strong knowledge and experience in software development with Java 11+
2. Knowledge of both relational and non-relational databases, preferably Postgres
3. Experience creating and maintaining publicly available REST APIs
4. Practical knowledge in using message-oriented middleware (Kafka)
5. Knowledge of PHP or Go is an advantage
