Project Manager (photovoltaic digitalization)

Smarkia is a SaaS Platform that uses Artificial Intelligence to boost the energy efficiency of our more than 300 customers around the world (including Telefónica Tech and Microsoft).

In fact, it has so much potential that Repsol and MN8 Energy (Goldman-Sachs) have invested in it, to further boost its exponential growth.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to lead the integration efforts between our customer (world-class energy transition company) and Smarkia. The objective is to establish a robust real-time and AI analytics layer.

The customer has an increasing demand for advanced data analysis and real-time monitoring to optimize operations and enhance overall efficiency. This integration bridges the divide between technological innovation and sustainable energy practices.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the proper implementation and operation through our energy management platform.

Your mission as Project Manager will be carried out in different areas:

  1. Uploading, updating, extracting and optimizing customer energy data monitoring on the platform on an ad-hoc basis.
  2. In-depth knowledge of the platform, both in terms of functionalities and in terms of providing value and adaptation to customers.

Project Planning and Execution:

  1. Execute the project plan for the integration, outlining key milestones, timelines, and resource requirements.
  2. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with project objectives.
  3. Coordinate customer & internal teams and subcontractors to ensure effective communication and collaboration, fostering strong partnership.

Documentation and Reporting:

  1. Maintain comprehensive documentation of the integration process, including configurations, customizations, and workflows.
  2. Provide regular progress reports to senior management, highlighting achievements and addressing challenges.
  3. Have overall responsibility for management project schedules ensuring clear, timely and accurate information is provided to Project Management and the wider Leadership team.
  4. Proactively lead the Risk and Opportunity Management process ensuring all Risks are identified and are being effectively managed throughout the Project Lifecycle.
  5. Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and impact of initiatives.
  6. Regularly report on project progress and KPIs to stakeholders.
  7. Occasional travel to the USA for in-person client meetings or event attendance.

You will be the ideal profile if...

  1. Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Renewable Energy, or related fields.
  2. Minimum of 5 years managing projects in the photovoltaic sector.
  3. Deep knowledge of technical terminology, concepts, and standards specific to the photovoltaic sector.
  4. Electricity market and utility tariffs and retail energy information.
  5. Experience working with energy management platforms or SCADA systems is highly valued.
  6. English proficiency levels (C1-C2) with proven experience in applying in the energy sector.
  7. Proactive and adept at problem-solving.
  8. Strong analytical skills.
  9. Collaborative teamwork capabilities in an entrepreneurial environment.
  10. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
