A leading student accommodation provider is seeking a dynamic Project Manager to join their Integration Team in Madrid. This role involves leading cross-functional integration activities to support an ambitious acquisition strategy focused on expanding operations across Europe. Ideal applicants should possess strong M&A integration experience, project management skills, and fluency in English and Spanish.

Formación

  • 5+ years of M&A integration experience with a solid understanding of the integration lifecycle.
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager, ideally within real estate or student housing sectors.
  • Strong organisational and coordination skills across multiple functions.

This role will be instrumental in supporting the integration of the two businesses, acting as a central coordination point across multiple workstreams. Reporting to the Chief Integration officer, you will work closely with workstream leads, executive sponsors, and key stakeholders to ensure a smooth and timely integration process.This is a critical position requiring strong M&A integration experience, exceptional project management skills, and a collaborative mindset.

  • Please note this is a 12 month contract opportunity

KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to)Lead and coordinate cross-functional integration activities across all workstreams (e.G., Operations, HR, IT, Finance, Marketing, Legal and Communications)Serve as the primary point of contact for integration-related updates, ensuring clear communication and accountability across teamsWork closely with the Chief Integration Officer and senior leadership to track progress, mitigate risks, and resolve issues proactivelyDevelop and manage project plans, timelines, and key milestones, ensuring alignment with strategic goalsFacilitate regular workstream check-ins, steering committee meetings, and provide status reports to stakeholdersEnsure integration activities are completed on schedule, within scope and budgetIdentify interdependencies across workstreams and manage integration risks and issuesMaintain project documentation including RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) and decision logsWork closely with Finance to ensure integration synergies are clearly tracked and reported against agreed targetsCollaborate with the Communications Lead to ensure all workstream leads have a clear understanding of project milestones, updates, and internal messagingSupport the transition to Business-as-Usual (BAU) by coordinating the handover of responsibilities and embedding integration activities into core operationsAt Nido, we create more than just student accommodation - we build vibrant communities where students can thrive.     Proven experience as a Project Manager, ideally within the real estate, hospitality, or student housing sectors5+ years of M&A integration experience with a solid understanding of the integration lifecycle ideally in pan-European settingsStrong organisational and coordination skills across multiple functions and geographiesDemonstrated ability to drive projects to completion in fast-paced, dynamic environmentsHands-on, pragmatic approach with excellent attention to detailStrong stakeholder engagement and communication skills

  • Proficient in project management toolsRelevant project management qualifications (e.G., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile certification) are a plusFluent in English and Spanish;
  • Italian and German language skills are an advantage
