Un centro de investigación innovador busca dos Gerentes de Proyectos para supervisar y gestionar proyectos de investigación en un entorno científico internacional. Esta emocionante oportunidad a tiempo completo implica la identificación de nuevas oportunidades de financiación, la gestión de propuestas y la coordinación de proyectos en colaboración con instituciones en España y Europa. Formación

The Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC), a cutting-edge research center based in Barcelona, is looking for two Project Managers in Research.

We offer an exciting full-time development opportunity for two new Project Managers to join our Projects Office in Barcelona.

Their role will be to oversee and manage the research projects of several research lines, liaising with other sites and institutions across Spain and Europe.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

• Funding: Identify new project opportunities (covering both national and international competitive calls, from public and private funding institutions) for the research lines assigned.
• Project formulation: Pre-evaluation of proposals to maximize success possibilities. Advising on project partners, preparation of budget, support on proposal writing and submission.
• Project management: Liaising between project and funders; coordination between sites within international projects; coordinating and overseeing project reporting; general project coordination, keeping track of project agendas, meetings and deadlines.
• Financial management of the research lines: Maximizing the outcome of the research lines within the available budget.
• Liaising between research group leaders and other IBEC research management areas (People Management, Finance, Tech Transfer and Business Development, Strategic Initiatives and Communication and Public Relations) for the daily running of the research lines.

Requirements for candidates:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics or experimental/life sciences. PhD will be viewed favorably.
• Minimum one year experience in research project management, in particular regarding EU Framework Programme projects (H2020/Horizon Europe) and other EU & international funding schemes.
• Full command of Spanish and English. Catalan is a plus.

• Working conditions: Full-time
• Open-ended contract due to technical and scientific activities linked to projects with possibilities for extension. One of the two positions is linked to project “Programa de recerca i innovació en Teragnosi Aplicada”.
• Up to 2 days per week of Telework
