Mint Selection is assisting a well-capitalised international energy platform to bring Spanish utility-scale BESS projects from development into construction and energisation. You will lead delivery on the ground, ensure cost, programme and HSE are managed, and coordinate with EPC contractors and grid operators.

Fluent Spanish and professional English are required, with on-site leadership across site teams and senior stakeholders.

Formación

• Track record delivering utility-scale energy or infrastructure projects through construction in Spain.
• Strong command of EPC contracts, programme and cost control.
• On-site and senior stakeholder management experience.
• Fluent Spanish and professional English.
• Knowledge of grid connections and HSE requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Take utility-scale BESS projects from development handover through construction to energisation and handover to operations.
• Own project cost, programme, quality and HSE, holding EPC and specialist contractors to account.
• Manage procurement and contractor interfaces, and coordinate grid connection works with the national and local grid operators.
• Report progress, risk and budget to senior stakeholders, flagging decision points early.

We are working with a well-capitalised international energy platform that develops, builds, owns and operates grid-balancing assets, and they are moving their first Spanish utility‑scale Battery Energy Storage (BESS) projects from development into construction. The role exists to take a project through financial close, mobilisation and build, and to own delivery on the ground. You would be the person accountable for getting steel and cells in the field, on time, on budget and safely.

The Company

Our client is an established international developer and asset owner with a strong track record across the construction, commercialisation, trading and optimisation of flexible assets in other European markets. Spain is the next chapter, and this is a genuine early‑mover position rather than a seat on a mature team. You would sit inside a lean, experienced group with real in-house engineering and delivery expertise to draw on, with scope for the technology remit to broaden over time into areas such as hydrogen and pumped storage hydro.

Experience & Qualifications

• A track record delivering utility‑scale energy or infrastructure projects through construction in Spain, ideally BESS, solar or substation work.
• Strong command of EPC contracts, programme and cost control.
• Working knowledge of Spanish grid connection and HSE requirements.
• Comfort managing contractors and stakeholders on site and at senior level.
• Fluent Spanish and professional English.
