ADP is hiring a Payroll Portuguese Specialist

Well, this may be the role for you. Ready to make your mark? In this role, you will work with a portfolio of Portuguese payroll clients based all over the world, managing from 1 to 2000 employees. Your responsibilities include:

  1. Managing the client portfolio, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
  2. Ensuring legal compliance with current regulations and proactively seeking process improvements.
  3. Participating in internal projects related to new tools or processes.

Key qualities for success include integrity, resilience, positivity, and attention to detail. Your tasks will involve ensuring employees are paid correctly and on time, maintaining compliance and documentation, staying updated on tax laws, benefit plans, deductions, labor laws, and payroll best practices. You will also learn about payroll system upgrades, automation tools, and reporting features. What you’ll do :
  • Manage client service requirements, requests, and legal aspects.
  • Resolve incidents arising from the service.
  • Conduct regular meetings with clients to update payroll calendars and processes.
  • Review and prepare data for payroll processing, including functional tests.
  • Process payrolls and perform quality controls.
  • Manage the client's rental period.
  • Prepare and send periodic reports related to payroll, such as IRS, social security files, and payroll reconciliation.
To succeed in this role :
  • Be detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and completeness.
  • Show proactivity and initiative in problem-solving and process improvements.
  • Plan and organize effectively, managing time and priorities well.

A college degree is not required. Relevant experience and skills are more important, such as:

  • 2-4 years of similar experience.
  • Knowledge of Portuguese labor law.
  • Experience with payroll and HR software.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Processing over 1000 payrolls.
  • Knowledge of DMR/Social Security.
  • Experience with processing new hires and terminations.
