IRB Barcelona seeks to recruit a Junior Project Manager (Research Assistant) to join the lab of Dr. Núria López-Bigas. We are looking for a motivated individual with teamwork skills to support the research team focused on cancer genomics, mutational processes, and bioinformatics tools in precision oncology. The candidate will assist with scientific project management within EU collaborative projects.

The BBGLab is an interdisciplinary, international team specializing in tumor genomics data analysis. This position is cofinanced by the European Commission's project on cancer genome interpretation for personalized treatment (HORIZON-HLTH-2021, Grant Agreement: 101057509).

Key Responsibilities
  1. Work collaboratively with researchers to support project activities.
  2. Assist in managing EU-funded projects, including communication, organization of meetings, and reporting.
  3. Support ethical procedures and monitor project development, including educational tools for patients.
  4. Coordinate annual meetings and support collaborative efforts.
Qualifications
  • Experience in European Projects, especially in health and cancer fields.
  • Degree in biology, biochemistry, or related fields; Master in Health and Science Management preferred.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Fluency in English; ability to work independently and in teams.
