Job summary

Giesecke+Devrient in Barcelona is seeking a Senior Project Manager (French-speaking) to lead complex technology projects in regulated, international environments.

You will own projects end-to-end, from requirements to handover, in a CBDC ecosystem including backend apps, mobile apps, digital wallets, and smart cards. The role requires French and English, strong leadership, and cross-cultural collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of complex customer projects end-to-end, from requirements analysis through handover.
• Manage complex IT and technology implementation projects within our CBDC ecosystem, including backend apps, mobile apps, digital wallets, smart cards, and integration components.
• Lead project teams through the full project lifecycle, ensuring scope, timelines, quality, budget, and customer objectives are met.
• Establish project governance with status reporting, steering meetings, escalation management, decision tracking, and stakeholder coordination.
• Proactively manage risks, dependencies, and change requests across short-term and long-term programmes.
• Collaborate with internal teams, customers, partners, and subcontractors in a highly international environment.
• Facilitate customer communication in French and English.
• Contribute to tenders and proposals with Business Development and Technical teams.
• Engage in pre-sales activities to demonstrate capabilities and potential delivery success.

Hybrid: 2 days in the office + 3 days remote

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager (French-speaking) to join our Professional Services team in Barcelona and lead complex technology projects in highly regulated, international environments.

What will you do?

You will take ownership of complex customer projects end-to-end, from requirements analysis and initiation through implementation and successful handover.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing complex IT and technology implementation projects within our CBDC ecosystem, including backend applications, mobile apps, digital wallets, smart cards, and integration components. Our customers are typically Central Banks.
• Leading project teams throughout the full project lifecycle, ensuring scope, timelines, quality, budget, and customer objectives are successfully managed.
• Establishing strong project governance, including status reporting, steering meetings, escalation management, decision tracking, and stakeholder coordination.
• Proactively managing risks, dependencies, and change requests, ensuring project continuity across both short-term initiatives and complex multi-year programmes.
• Working closely with internal teams, customers, partners, and subcontractors in a highly international and multicultural environment.
• Facilitating customer communication and follow-ups in French and English.
• Managing subcontractors and ensuring alignment on scope, quality, dependencies, and timelines.
• Contributing to tenders and proposals together with our Business Development and Technical teams.

And there's an important commercial component to the role:

You will also be actively involved in pre-sales activities, helping customers understand our capabilities and demonstrating how Giesecke+Devrient can deliver the right solution and successfully execute their projects.
