PROJECT LEADER INSECT-REPELLENT PRODUCTS

Responsibilities:

  • Lead regulatory activities with the collaboration of external companies to obtain market authorisation, maintain registration, or upgrade dossiers of insect-repellent products in the USA and different countries of the European Area. Regulatory activities in other geographical zones are not discarded.
  • Support the R&D Scientists Team in transitioning research projects into the development phase and final industrialisation for the market.
  • Supervise product development activities being carried out by internal and external collaborators. Organise follow-up meetings regularly.
  • Contact companies providing different services or supplying distinct materials related to Glycoscience projects and products. Monitor activities being done by such companies.
  • Collaborate in manufacturing and supply campaigns of already authorised insect repellent products.
  • Assist the Management Team in project management tasks and strategic planning.
  • Provide support to other areas of the company on specific activities related to the project being managed: marketing, commercial, legal, etc.
  • Organise and compile all the project-specific supportive data in shared folders.

WORK EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical, Pharmaceutical or Biological Sciences or equivalent discipline with 5 years’ industry experience. Alternatively, a candidate holding a Master's degree in such disciplines or a Ph.D. with 5 years of industry experience.
  • Regulatory and/or project management experience is very valuable. Experience with insect-repellent or biocide products will be a plus.
  • Knowledge of product development processes, scale-up and industrialisation will be valuable. Candidates with demonstrated hands-on working experience in the chemical, pharmaceutical or cosmetic industries will be preferred.
  • Writing skills focused on project management and regulatory documents. Ability in creating, formatting and presenting content in MS Office platforms (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Organisation. Ability to execute activities either simultaneously or upon prioritization on several projects running in parallel under challenges of time and workload.
  • Flexibility. Easy adaptation to change and to new situations.
  • Attention to detail without losing sight of overall objectives.
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment, supporting a project team located in multiple sites (Bilbao, Barcelona, USA) and interacting with international CRO/CDMOs worldwide.
  • Excellent ability to communicate in English in written and spoken form. Skills to maintain technical and scientific conversations with expert Teams.
  • Initiative and leadership attitude. Ability to generate new pathways and ways of working.
  • Creativity and problem-solving skills.
  • Availability to travel within the Spanish territory, Europe and the USA. Possibility to stay in these locations for several days or weeks depending on project needs.
