Mission

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Finance Manager to join our Madrid-based team. In this key role, you will lead the structuring, negotiation, and execution of project financing for renewable energy projects across multiple jurisdictions. You will also oversee the portfolio loan management function, ensuring internal coordination, compliance, and performance tracking, while working closely with the dedicated loan administration team responsible for day-to-day execution.

Responsibilities

Project Finance / Structured Finance:

  • Lead and manage end-to-end project finance transactions for renewable energy projects (solar, wind, storage).
  • Structure and negotiate non-recourse financing deals with banks, DFIs, and institutional investors.
  • Review financial models, sensitivity analyses, and credit metrics.
  • Coordinate due diligence processes with legal, technical, tax, and insurance advisors.
  • Support investment decisions by presenting financing structures and risk analysis to senior management.

Oversight of Portfolio Loan Management:

  • Provide strategic oversight of the portfolio loan management activities across operating projects.
  • Ensure alignment with financing agreements, lender requirements, and internal processes.
  • Liaise with the loan administration team to monitor compliance, covenant reporting, and lender communications.
  • Review and provide input on amendments, waivers, and refinancing opportunities initiated by the loan administration team.
  • Coordinate with asset management, legal, and finance teams to ensure the accuracy of financial and loan reporting.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or Master's preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in project finance, preferably within the renewable energy or infrastructure sectors.
  • Proven experience in financial modeling, lender negotiations, and due diligence coordination.
  • Solid understanding of debt financing structures and loan management principles.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish required.
