Position: Project Engineer (m/f/d) Software Development for Brake Control Systems

Location: Madrid, Spain

Your new role – challenging and future-oriented
  1. Ensure safe and efficient stops by developing software for brake control systems on trains that reach speeds of up to 360 km/h.
  2. Control and monitor pneumatic braking systems and integrate them into rail vehicles, supporting commissioning from simulation to vehicle deployment.
  3. Develop project-specific software modules for brake control units using graphical development tools, design software architecture, and describe software components.
  4. Plan and execute software testing to meet quality requirements throughout the development process.
  5. Integrate control unit software on target platforms and document functionalities.
  6. Support integration of brake control functions regarding function, hardware, and software in rail vehicles.
  7. Expand system knowledge related to brake control and take interface tasks to improve software quality.
Your qualifications – solid and appropriate
  1. Technical degree in electrical engineering, electronics, mechatronics, or a comparable field.
  2. Previous knowledge of the rolling stock business.
  3. Experience in structured software development, preferably in the railway industry according to EN 50128 / 50657 standards.
  4. Quick learner with basic knowledge of electrical engineering and braking technology in rail traffic.
  5. Open-minded, proactive, and independent problem-solving approach.
