For one of our key clients and world leaders in materials technology, Coalesce Management Consulting (CMC) is seeking a Project Engineer to assist in the realization and construction of a megaproject in Northern Spain.

Once the construction phase begins, full on-site presence will be required, expected towards the end of this year or early next year.

This role initially operates as an independent consultant ( autónomo ) through CMC, with the potential for a permanent position after or within a 2-year contract.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the design and construction within your area of expertise.
  • Collaborate closely with the Program Director & Project Manager.
  • Prepare, review, and approve technical documentation, ensuring standards and best practices are met.
  • Support procurement processes and control project costs.
  • Supervise construction, installation, and commissioning activities.
  • Integrate work with other engineering disciplines to meet deadlines and avoid delays.
  • Execute tasks safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively.
  • Make timely, quality decisions and gather relevant data for complex issues.
  • Propose improvements and capture lessons learned.
  • Participate in audits and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

Qualifications

  • University degree or equivalent in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Instrumentation / Automation).
  • Experience in executing engineering projects, especially in industrial operational environments.
  • Knowledge of design software (e.g., AutoCAD).
  • Understanding of EHS standards, industry practices, and legal requirements.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English (written and verbal).
  • Proficient with MS Office.
  • Ability to adhere to rules, procedures, and safety standards.
