We are seeking a Project Engineer for a key client in materials technology, involved in a major project in Northern Spain. The role requires full on-site presence during the construction phase, expected to start late this year or early next year. Initially, you will work as an independent consultant (autónomo) through CMC, with the potential for a permanent position after or within a 2-year contract.

The successful candidate will coordinate design and construction activities within their area of expertise and possess the following qualities:

• University degree or equivalent in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Instrumentation/Automation)
• Experience in executing engineering projects, particularly industrial environments
• Knowledge of design software (e.g., AutoCAD)
• Understanding of EHS standards, industry practices, and legal requirements
• Fluent in Spanish and English (written and verbal)
• Proficient in MS Office

Responsibilities include:

• Preparing and reviewing technical documentation for project design phases
• Ensuring completeness and competitiveness of project documents
• Supporting procurement processes
• Controlling project costs
• Supervising construction, installation, and commissioning
• Collaborating with other engineering teams to integrate project solutions
• Executing tasks safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively
• Making timely decisions and proposing improvements
• Participating in audits and ensuring safety and environmental compliance
