A specialized clinical research organization is seeking a Project Director to oversee clinical studies and manage Project Managers. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in project management and knowledge of regulations such as GCP and FDA. This role offers a permanent full-time position with comprehensive benefits, including ongoing learning and development opportunities. This is a home-based position, open to candidates across Spain.

Formación

  • Minimum 15 years in the industry, with at least 5 years at a CRO.
  • At least 10 years in clinical project management, overseeing all project phases.
  • Experience with multi-country, multi-region studies, especially phase III trials.

The Project Director is responsible for overseeing a program or portfolio of clinical studies or large global multicenter trials with significant budgets. This role involves managing Project Managers handling projects of varying sizes and complexities, from single service studies to large, multi-protocol, global projects. The Project Director contributes to proposal development and business growth, applying their therapeutic and project management expertise.

This role will be ideal for you if:

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing a portfolio of projects and Project Managers.
  • Ensuring studies meet therapeutic and client requirements.
  • Representing the company to clients, maintaining satisfaction and communication.
  • Ensuring compliance with quality standards, SOPs, GCPs, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Managing contracts, budgets, and expenses.
  • Tracking project progress and maintaining therapeutic expertise.
  • Applying learnings across studies and clients.
  • Leading risk mitigation and contingency planning.
  • Contributing to proposal development and operational strategies.
  • Driving performance improvements and operational efficiencies.
  • Providing line management and leadership within Project Management.

Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Master’s degree and certifications like PMP or PRINCE2 are assets.

Experience:

  • Minimum 15 years in the industry, with at least 5 years at a CRO.
  • At least 10 years in clinical project management, overseeing all project phases.
  • Experience with multi-country, multi-region studies, especially phase III trials.
  • Leadership in mentoring project managers and business development activities.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of GCP, FDA, Health Canada regulations, and guidelines.
