Project Director | Data Centre Delivery | Contract

Position: Project Director – Data Centre Delivery (6-Month Contract)

Location: Remote | Based anywhere in the UK, Europe, or UAE. Travel to client sites, including the UAE.

Role Overview: The Project Director will oversee high-impact, client-facing projects, ensuring seamless execution from pre-sales to handover. Leading multidisciplinary teams, they will shape project timelines and delivery, acting as a strategic partner to clients across Europe and beyond.

Responsibilities

1. Lead the delivery of multi-site data centre infrastructure projects across EMEA.
2. Drive planning, budgeting, risk mitigation, and quality assurance from design through commissioning.
3. Collaborate with engineering, product, and commercial teams to translate client needs into actionable plans.
4. Manage relationships with clients, contractors, and internal teams, ensuring alignment on technical, financial, and timeline expectations.
5. Implement project controls and proactively resolve delivery issues.
6. Maintain focus on sustainability, safety, and innovation throughout execution.
7. Coordinate reporting and updates for stakeholders.

Qualifications

1. 10+ years in technical project delivery, preferably within data centre or mission-critical infrastructure environments.
2. Proven experience managing complex, cross-border projects.
3. Strong coordination skills with multidisciplinary teams and external suppliers.
4. Understanding of cooling systems, power infrastructure, or data centre operations is a plus.
5. Collaborative mindset with ownership and delivery drive under tight timelines.
6. Fluent in English; additional European languages are a bonus.
7. Willingness to travel extensively across Europe, UAE, and UK.

Contract Details

Initial 6-month contract with potential extension or permanent hire. Remote work with periodic travel to client sites and HQ.
