A leading technology firm is seeking a Project Director for a 6-month contract to lead the delivery of multi-site data centre infrastructure projects across EMEA. The role requires over 10 years of technical project delivery experience, strong collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and the ability to travel extensively. This position is remote, with periodic travel to client sites and HQ.

Project Director – Data Centre Delivery (6-Month Contract)

Remote | Based anywhere in the UK or Europe or UAE

Travel to client sites, including the UAE

With the firm reshaping the data centre industry through sustainable innovation, they are now looking for a Project Director to help them scale even further.

What You'll Do

As a Project Director , you'll take the reins on high-impact, client-facing projects—ensuring seamless execution across the full lifecycle : from pre-sales support and final design through to construction, commissioning, and handover.

You'll lead multi-disciplinary teams (internal and external), shape timelines and technical delivery, and act as a strategic partner to our clients across Europe and beyond.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of multi-site data centre infrastructure projects across EMEA.
• Drive planning, budgeting, risk mitigation and quality assurance from design through commissioning
• Work closely with the firm's engineering, product and commercial teams to translate client needs into actionable project plans
• Manage relationships with clients, contractors, and internal teams—ensuring alignment on technical, financial, and timeline expectations
• Implement rigorous project controls and proactively resolve delivery issues
• Maintain a focus on sustainability, safety, and innovation throughout execution
• Coordinate reporting and updates for key stakeholders.

What You Bring

10+ years in technical project delivery, ideally within data centre or mission-critical infrastructure environments

Proven track record managing complex, cross-border projects

Strong experience coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and external suppliers

Understanding of cooling systems, power infrastructure, or data centre operations is a plus

Collaborative mindset, with the confidence to take ownership and drive delivery under tight timelines

Fluent in English; additional European languages are a bonus.

The ability to travel extensively across Europe, the UAE and UK as required.

Initial 6-month contract, with potential for extension or permanent hire

Remote working, with periodic travel to client sites and HQ
