The role requires over 15 years of industry experience, including significant project management experience in multi-centered, multinational clinical trials, particularly in Dermatology. Title : Project Director

Location : Spain (Remote)

Salary : Up to €130,000 plus bonus and package

I am excited to be working with a small but well-funded and close-knit Canadian CRO in seeking an experienced Project Director who is responsible for overseeing a program of clinical studies or large global multicenter trials.

Company :

My client is a full-service global CRO focusing on the therapeutic areas of Dermatology and Rheumatology. The founder of the business is a Medical Dermatologist and is very passionate about these therapy areas.

With expansion in North America, Europe, Asia Pacific, and Latin America; vast, continuously growing relationships with investigators and patients; and a dedicated research clinic through which they design and execute studies.

Role :

As a full-scope Global Project Director, you will manage Project Managers (PMs) who oversee complex projects of all sizes, including multiple protocol projects, global projects, and/or a portfolio of projects. You will lead operations and business development activities at a project director level with minimal oversight.

Responsibilities include :

• Provide oversight to a portfolio of clinical studies and supervise Project Managers handling programs from single-service to multi-protocol global trials.
• Monitor budget, contract, and financial oversight including forecasting, expense review, and reporting.
• Maintain therapeutic or client-specific expertise and apply learnings across the project portfolio.
• Contribute operational input to proposal development, pricing strategies, and participate in bid defense meetings.

Experience :

• At least 15 years of industry experience and a minimum of 5 years at a CRO.
• At least 10 years of clinical project management experience, including managing all project phases from start-up to closure, managing all functional services, and vendor management. Experience with mid-size and large studies (>10-15 countries) in multiple regions (NA, SA, APAC, MENA, Europe) is desirable.
• Experience leading concurrent multi-centered, multinational phase III clinical trials, including project budget financial tracking and forecasting.
• Substantial experience in project supervision, mentoring, and coaching project managers.
• Substantial experience with business development tasks, such as proposal development, client presentations, bid defense meetings, and similar activities.
• Participation in mentoring and coaching project managers.
• Dermatology experience is mandatory.
