Overview :

The Project Coordinator, Licensing & Linguistic Validation is a specialist in Developer and Copyright holder relationships, managing the entire process of licensing Clinical Outcome Assessments, from initial contact to agreement execution.

They are also responsible for assisting the Project Manager, Sales and/or Client Services teams with quote requests as well as acting as the primary point of contact throughout a commissioned project’s life cycle.

Position responsibilities:

  • Provide initial quote to Sales/Client Services based on complexity of request
  • Manage licensing projects including all communication with Sales/Client Services, clients, sponsors, license holders, etc.
  • Conduct necessary research to determine license holders’ and/or authors’ requirements for the use of each Clinical Outcome Assessment
  • Research existing language versions, as well as required methodologies for the development of new language versions of a Clinical Outcome Assessment
  • Contact license holders and provide them with required information for drafting of licensing agreements
  • Serve as liaison between license holder and client and/or sponsor; vetting documents received from either party before providing to the other
  • Provide regular status updates to client and/or sponsor
  • Address changes in project scope associated with study protocol amendments
  • Prepare final license report (if requested) with documentation of correspondence and due diligence
  • Confirm clarity of instructions prior to initiating project workflow, liaising with Sales/Client Services to modify and/or correct project instructions, parameters as needed
  • Coordinate with Sales/Client Services to educate and advise clients regarding the best way to accomplish their goals for individual projects
  • Communicate any issues/problems/delays/additional information to Sales/Client Services on an immediate basis and work to troubleshoot any issues that arise
  • Investigate and resolve client complaints, problem solve and work with Quality Assurance/Management to ensure that appropriate systemic changes are implemented as needed
  • Work to understand and be knowledgeable about clients as well as the vertical, including current events, business trends and industry leaders
  • Make recommendations to management on ways to improve any processes as part of TransPerfect’s commitment to continual improvement
  • Provides assistance to others when able and as needed
  • Complete all other tasks that are deemed appropriate for this role and assigned by the manager/supervisor

Essential skills and experience required:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent
  • Superior written and spoken communication skills in English
  • Experience in a client-facing project management role
  • Exceptional problem solving/critical thinking skills
  • Ability to multitask in order to simultaneously execute multiple projects
  • Ability to maintain professionalism, focus and result-orientation in all situations, especially under pressure and when working to tight deadlines
  • Team player able to work in multicultural environments, collaborating with international stakeholders

Desired skills and experience:

  • Knowledge of additional languages at professional working proficiency
  • Experience managing projects within the translation industry
  • Experience working with Life Sciences clients
