Job summary

Alstom España is seeking a Project Buyer in Madrid to define and execute sourcing strategies for tenders and projects, lead supplier selection, and manage performance and risk across procurement activities. You will collaborate with engineering, supply chain, and project teams to ensure on-time, on-budget deliveries.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in project procurement, degree in a related field, and strong English with SAP experience.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or a related field.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in purchasing and project procurement environments.
• Intermediate to advanced English.
• Experience working with SAP.
• Strong negotiation, analytical and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work autonomously in a dynamic project environment.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute sourcing strategies for tenders and projects.
• Lead supplier selection, evaluation and performance management activities.
• Conduct market analysis to identify competitive sourcing alternatives.
• Negotiate commercial agreements, pricing and contractual terms with suppliers.
• Support supplier development and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage supplier non-conformities and claims resolution.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain teams to ensure on-time and on-budget project deliveries.
• Drive procurement performance through cost optimisation and risk management initiatives.
