ISGlobal seeks a detail-oriented Project and Research Assistant for its Public Health Liver Group. The role involves supporting EU-funded liver health projects, managing project documentation, and collaborating with a dynamic research team. An ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, a degree in a related field, and proficiency in English and Spanish.
The Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal) is a cutting-edge institute addressing global public health challenges through research, translation into policy and education. ISGlobal has a broad portfolio in communicable and non-communicable diseases including environmental and climate determinants, and applies a multidisciplinary scientific approach ranging from the molecular to the population level. Research is organized in five programs : Climate, Air Pollution, Nature and Urban Health; Environment and Health over the Lifecourse; Global Viral and Bacterial Infections; Malaria and Neglected Parasitic Diseases; and Maternal Child and Reproductive Health. ISGlobal is accredited with the Severo Ochoa distinction, a seal of excellence of the Spanish Science Ministry.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
ISGlobal is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and motivated project and research assistant who is interested in joining ISGlobal’s multidisciplinary Public Health Liver Group. As an active and fast-paced research team, we seek someone who excels in a dynamic environment and is eager to embrace new challenges.
The successful candidate will provide crucial support to the project managers in coordinating and implementing multiple ongoing EU-funded and other liver health projects, such as the Global Think-tank on Steatotic Liver Disease, the Global Metabolic Health Roundtables, and the MASH Cities initiative. This includes supporting the group’s research on public health and policy responses to liver diseases such as metabolic-dysfunction associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD, formerly NAFLD), metabolic-dysfunction steatohepatitis (MASH, formerly NASH), and viral hepatitis.
