Proppos is an AI company based in Barcelona with a clear mission : to automate the critical processes of the foodservice industry using computer vision and deep learning. Proppos is a dynamic, modern, open-minded, and fast-growing company looking for the most talented professionals to help us build the best AI technology for the foodservice industry.

About the Project

Proppos is building the first computer vision platform for the food industry. The platform consists of various web applications, including management and labeling tools, as well as specific solutions for each industry, such as FastPay (a visual self-checkout) and Food Inspection (used for quality control purposes). Of course, it is also supported by state-of-the-art deep learning models that assist our clients in recognizing any product and automating their daily tasks.

The platform has a hybrid architecture based on on-premises and cloud servers.

Proppos is looking for a Senior Software Developer who will work hand in hand with our CTO and the AI team to improve the Proppos Platform.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the reliability and improvement of the software in terms of quality, costs, productivity, and safety.
• Create and develop new applications and APIs.
• Participate in decision-making regarding app architecture, programming tools, and code optimization.
• Assist in troubleshooting issues with devices, networks, or software that have been developed.
• Participate in actions and workshops to improve KPIs (Key Performance Indicators).

Requirements

• Proactive attitude, problem solving, communication skills and teamwork
• Orientation to continuous improvement
• Experience in frontend development with React, Redux
• Experience in backend development with Node JS and Express
• Experience with GraphQL and REST API
• Experience with Linux ecosystem (Usage & Utility commands, Terminal, etc.)
• Experience with relational databases and SQL language
• Experience with no relational databases such as MongoDB
• Experience with Git
• Experience with Docker
• Experience in Gitlab CI / CD
• Experience with AWS services : Lambda, S3, API Gateway, DynamoDB, RDS
• Fluent in spanish

Nice to have :

• Knowladge in Python
• Knowladge in real-time video streaming
• Knowladge working with large datasets
