Program Manager I, Jr. Developer Program

DESCRIPTION : The Jr. Developer Program team is seeking a proactive, growth-minded administrator to join the Jr. Developer Program Administrative Team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a start up-like environment where you'll gain insights into successfully supporting and scaling an early career talent program at Amazon. Jr. Developer Program administrators have a wide range of responsibilities, with significant focus on recruiting coordination, event planning and intern engagement, and general administrative support.

Successful candidates will have strong organizational skills, work effectively with internal team members and external candidates, possess excellent communication skills, and enjoy the challenge of building a thriving organization of talented individuals. A proven track record of effective time management, taking initiative, working independently, delivering exceptional results, and exceeding expectations is important. Candidates should thrive under pressure, have an interest in launching new initiatives, and most importantly, possess excellent customer service skills.

Key job responsibilities:

1. Recruiting Coordination: Communicate with candidates, managers, and interviewers. Schedule multiple types of interviews. Effectively track candidate process through the full recruiting life cycle. Attend to any interview-related challenges or issues.
2. University Relations: Build strong relationships with local universities to aid in recruitment to fill customer demand.
3. Event Planning: Plan and execute engaging in-person events for interns for our European interns.
4. Intern Engagement: Create opportunities for fun and enjoyable intern engagement beyond events. Plan and execute successful engagement practices across multiple time zones, schedule types, and modalities.
5. Administrative Support: Conduct program-related data entry and management, report on program metrics, develop program-related documentation and content, attend team meetings and contribute to program-wide initiatives. Administration of contract execution to support local employment regulations.

About the team: The Jr. Developer Program offers year-round internship opportunities for students interested in Software Engineering, Data Science, and Applied Science. The program supports 150+ interns across 15+ corporate sites in the US, CAN, and EU and continues to scale rapidly. The Jr. Developer Program Administrative Team supports all aspects of internship participation - recruiting, support, performance management, engagement, FTE placements, and more. We are customer obsessed and offer a high-touch experience for Jrs., Mentors, and Managers alike.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: 2+ years of program or project management experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of Lean principles and DMAIC methodology. Experience in requirement gathering and ability to write clear and detailed requirement documents.
