  • Remuneration: $179K - $229K base (+17% super and leave loading)

About the International Centre for Future Health Systems

The International Centre for Future Health Systems (“ICFHS”) is a research, policy, and advocacy centre established at the University of New South Wales that seeks to improve health systems to deliver more equitable, sustainable, and person-centred health care for all. Operating on a partnership model, ICFHS collaborates with health services, government agencies, industry, primary health networks, professional bodies, community and consumer organisations, and global health partners, including colleagues at the University of Oxford.

Why this role matters

Primary Care Transformation is a core theme for the ICFHS. This position will play a leadership role in developing and implementing improved models of primary care, especially for underserved populations, and will integrate with research, policy, and advocacy work across all ICFHS themes. The role reports to the ICFHS Director and involves postgraduate researcher supervision.

Key Skills Required
Level D
  • PhD or equivalent research doctoral qualification.
  • Recognized research leader in primary care and health systems with a strong publication record and success in securing research grants.
  • Experience translating research into practice and policy.
  • Professional experience in health services and developing relationships with health providers.
  • Ability to lead research teams and collaborate across disciplines.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with experience working with diverse stakeholders.
  • Leadership, management, and mentoring experience in academic and research settings.

  • Internationally recognized research leader with an outstanding publication record and grant success.
